CAREER

I've always been passionate about health and alternative medicine. My life path and training naturally led me to become a therapist.

As a child, my mother, an herbalist in Spain, treated my asthma attacks and took care of my sister and me with poultices and essential oil inhalations. This natural approach left its mark on me and fueled my interest in biology and health, leading me to a master's degree in biology, nutrition and neuroscience.

In 2018, while working as a biologist in a research laboratory studying the effect of a cardiac protein as a possible treatment for metabolic diseases, I was confronted with a very Western approach to the human body and health, which I found cold and restrictive, where well-being was relegated to the background. In search of a more holistic approach, I undertook a rigorous four-year training course in Oriental medicine and acupuncture in Barcelona. Here I rediscovered the therapeutic principles I hold dear, such as phytotherapy and Chinese pharmacopoeia, Tuina massage, cupping and, of course, acupuncture.

As a lover of Asian culture and its philosophies, I have travelled to Japan on several occasions to immerse myself in their wisdom and Zen concepts, based on balance, empathy and respect. Two Japanese notions in particular guide my practice:

Omoyari - “Practising the art of compassion”. Active listening and a deep understanding of symptoms enable me to tailor each acupuncture session to the unique needs of the patient.

Wabi-Sabi - “Acceptance of imperfection and impermanence”. In acupuncture, this means listening to the body as it is and working with its natural imbalances to regain harmony, rather than seeking illusory perfection.

My approach combines science and tradition, technique and intuition, to accompany each patient towards authentic, lasting well-being.

TRAININGS

2019 - Master's degree in Biology, Health and Food Science from Bordeaux University

2023 - Master's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Superior School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Barcelona (school in collaboration with the University of Acupuncture of Yunnan and Beijing).

2023 - Graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Naturopathy from the Laia Naturopatia School (Barcelona).

2024 - Becomes a member of the Ordre des Acupuncteurs du Québec.

APPROACH

Thanks to my background in acupuncture, I approach the body as a whole, treating organic and energetic systems to identify and correct the root cause of pain, imbalances and other ailments. This approach offers lasting relief and real well-being. My practice is based on an integrative understanding of the human body, at the crossroads of Western and Eastern traditions.

Over the years, I have developed a diversified expertise in accompanying patients of all ages and profiles. My experience covers :

  • chronic pain management

  • digestive and gynaecological disorders

  • nervous and emotional system imbalances

  • as well as strengthening the immune system

As a versatile acupuncturist, I also integrate various Chinese medicine techniques, such as moxibustion and cupping, to optimize the therapeutic effect and enhance relaxation during sessions.
