OSTEOPATH PLATEAU

Training

  • Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Osteopathy from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal (C.E.O.M.) and validated by the University of Wales (UK).
  • Graduate training at C.E.O.M., currently writing master’s thesis on erectile dysfunction.
  • Post-graduate training: gynaecology and specialized paediatrics, sports injuries, progressive chronic diseases, glandular dysfunction, endocranial spasms (cranial work following a physical and/or emotional trauma, concussions)
  • Massage therapist, Kiné-Concept (several massage approaches).

Experience and professional development

With more than 20 years of rich and varied experience in the field of health, I have dedicated myself to the improvement of people’s well-being through manual therapies, from massage therapy to osteopathy.

My training in massage therapy and osteopathy allows me to help people from infancy through to their senior years, including athletes, active people, and individuals with multiple disabilities (autism, cerebral palsy, for which I have an expertise that I developed over the course of nine years).

Always wanting the best for my patients, I completed several additional training programs after obtaining my bachelor’s degree in osteopathy in order to expand my area of expertise, primarily with respect to the pelvic region of both men and women.

In addition, my last seminars have allowed me to help people who have had head traumas or impacts, such as concussions.

Approach

Osteopathy is a branch of medicine in its own right and, like all branches of medicine, looks to find possible causes of problems. To do so, I respect a certain therapeutic process: obtaining the patient’s medical history, closely observing the patient and conducting osteopathic palpation tests, will enable me to develop a treatment plan that is adapted to each individual, with choices of techniques that have been studied specifically in relation to the problem.

All techniques used are patient-specific and respect the reality of each person being treated.

Although I have always been fascinated by the ability of the body to self-regulate, you may still require more than one appointment to find or move toward a certain balance.

Also, as I always want the best for my patients, I firmly believe in multidisciplinarity in collaboration with osteopathy, with a view to returning to a normal homeostasis and well-being.

I am convinced that having regular, preventive osteopathic treatments, at least once per season, will contribute to maintaining better general health.

It would be my pleasure to welcome you and help you at Altermed Clinic.

See you soon.
