EXPERIENCE
Lisa obtained her degree from McGill University in 2005 and realized quickly that despite her knowledge of biology and science, the life experience of her clients was just as important when discussing habit changes for health and well-being. She believes in helping clients learn to listen to their body (and it’s internal wisdom) when it comes to making decisions about food, eating, and overall well-being. After working for a few years, she realized that knowledge about intuitive eating and body image was lacking in the traditional education of nutrition. She has pursued expanding her knowledge ever since and has started to share this knowledge with other health professionals through workshops. Lisa writes for her own blog as well as a contributor for Huffington Post Canada. She is a regular guest on CJAD 800 & CBC Radio One, hosts workshops for professionals as well as online courses.EXPERTISES

APPROACH
Lisa takes a non-traditional approach to nutrition and health by combining science and your own life experiences to find solutions. Sessions with Lisa do not revolve around simple advice giving but include listening to your struggles and concerns and working together to find solutions that will sustainably fit into your life for true and overall well-being. Much of the nutrition advice we hear nowadays is confusing, conflicting and cannot fit into our life. Lisa helps you break down your goals and translate them into actions to take with food, while maintaining a healthy relationship with food and body.VISION AND VALUES
Lisa works hard to provide an environment free of shame and judgement surrounding discussions of food and health. Lisa is also a wife, mom of 2, and self-proclaimed wine aficionado. She loves food and eating and is passionate about helping others enjoy food as one of the pleasures of life. If you want to start rebuilding a healthy relationship with food and better understand how to manage your health, Lisa is available for consultations in the NDG location.RATES
