VISION & APPROACH
As a physiotherapist, I have a strong background in pathology, as well as exercise and rehabilitation guidelines. My background has mostly been in orthopaedics and sports medicine. I have been working in private practice for 35 years in Montreal and in the West Island.
Osteopathic training has allowed me to refine my palpation skills, and has helped me to integrate a more “global ” approach.
My yoga training and practice have allowed me to be more discerning with respect to posture and alignment, and its relationship to the mechanics of breathing.
Breathing evaluation, technique, and patterning is being widely used in many physical syndromes (such as chronic pain) and psychological syndromes (such as stress, anxiety).
I believe that exercise and movement are integral components of our health and well- being. I have always been very “hands on” with a strong exercise component.
My ultimate goal is to help my patients become more active participants in their own health care.
Looking forward to meet you,
Teresa Rassenti, PHT
